Confessional Friday

OK party people... I'm sitting in an un-air conditioned gym watching junior high basketball. I need a diversion so let's confess with Leslie @ A Blond Ambition Blog.

1. I confess that whoever sold my email address to the spammers is in BIG trouble! If I ever find out, you are dead to me. Dead, I say!!

2. I confess basketball is Not my favorite sport. Something about the squeaky shoes, or the frantic pace- constantly up and down, back and forth!!!

3. I confess I'm ready to move. We've been living out of boxes for a week and I'm starting to unpack things we need- like iPod chargers and DVDs... You know, essentials!

4. I confess that I'm not a good example for my kids. I currently have 3, yes 3, pairs of shoes in our living room. (Dad, I know this doesn't surprise you at all!)

5. I confess that I'm not going to my HS Reunion. 20 years -can you believe it!!

Confessional Friday

You know, I'm never one to hold back so here is a perfect opportunity to get some things off my chest...

I confess that I can be a little short sometimes with incompetent people.  For instance, person-who-shall-not-be-named answering the phone at Mazzio's...if you are going to take my order, you are going to have to stop talking to everyone else and PAY ATTENTION TO ME!!!!  By the time I got off the phone, I was furious and  my amazing hubby was cracking up!

I confess that I own entirely too many clothes.  I have spent the last weeks packing my closet.  And packing... and packing... and packing.  Who knew?!  I am never going to complain about not having anything to where again.  (Well - I probably am, but I'll just kick myself later!)

I confess that I {heart} Troy and Jacob Landry.  (Swamp People, if you don't know.)  They are so cute with their accents and smiles and the way they love their families!  I love that show!!!

I confess that I watch Reality TV.  I always said that I didn't.  And, to be honest, when I think of Reality TV, I think of shows like, The Bachelor or Dancing with the Stars, American Idol or Dance Moms... and I REFUSE to watch those.  But...I do watch Swamp People and Duck Dynasty and Ghost Hunters and Destination Truth - oh, and American Pickers.  So, I guess I'm a Reality TV junkie, because I don't think I really watch anything that's scripted - except the news!

I confess that my children are driving me (and each other) bonkers.  I know summer just started, but since we are moving, I haven't been able to implement much of a schedule or do any of the fun things we want to do.  So that leaves too much time together with nothing to do and that is a recipe for disaster.  Bear with me kids - if I don't kill you soon, it will get better~!!

Confessional Friday

Hey ya'll!! I'm linking up with Leslie at A Blonde Ambition for Confessional Friday. The time of week when we share with you the many little (and not-so-little) things that, if we had any sense, we should really think about keeping private! Oh well!! Let's get confessing!!

1. I don't wash my face every night. Now, before you start screaming... I really don't wear a lot of makeup anyway. And, I have really dry skin. But... since I continue to age every year...I really need to get better at this. My skin looks so much better when I do!

2. I LOVE coloring books.  And a new box of crayons.  I could spend hours!

3.  I'm a sucker for an 80s movie!  ANY 80s movie!  For instance, Mannequin (with Andrew McCarthy and Kim Cattrall - before SATC!) was on the other night and I stayed up late watching.  They made AWESOME movies back then!!  My kids are really missing out!! :-)


4.  I am a terrible housekeeper!  I really spend most of my time picking things up and putting them where they belong.  Since we are moving (in process...), I've de-cluttered quite a bit.  That was nice.  Now I just have to keep it picked up EVERYDAY in case someone wants to see it.  So.... the actually cleaning - deep down, just ends up getting a spit shine.  Oh well... a little dirt never hurt anybody, right?


5.  I need to lose about 10 pounds.  (Don't tell my amazing hubby - he thinks I'm perfect!  Isn't he a keeper?!)  Some of my clothes are feeling a little snug.  I'm chalking this up to being at home all day and having easy access to the refrigerator.  Maybe I need a time lock on that thing?!

1.  Sometimes I forget that I don't know by blog friends in real life.  Does this happen to you?

2.  I am not naturally a patient person.  In fact, I'm working on a post about that RIGHT NOW!!

3.  I {heart} baseball.  Monkey Boy's first game of the season is tomorrow and I think I am more excited than he is! (and that's saying a lot!!!)

4.  We are enrolling Princess in Pre-K next week.  I know I still have all summer before she starts school, but I can't decide how I feel about it.  One minute, I'm sad because she makes me smile all day long.  And the next minute, I'm excited and planning what I'll do with all my "free" time!

5.  And, finally... my amazing hubby and I celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary yesterday.  woo-hoo!

Hey, y'all! I'm linking up today with Leslie at A Blonde Ambition blog for Confessional Friday...so let's get confessing!!

1. I LOVE musicals... Grease was on AMC last night (twice) and I could have watched them both! That being said, I have yet to see an episode of Smash! and I don't watch Glee. I adore their songs, but I was put off by the content so I never got into it.

2. I think I was born in the wrong decade. Give me the '50s - fashion, music...love it! I know they had their own issues, but give me a time with poodle skirts, sock hops and milkshakes at the diner...

3. And totally unrelated... I don't like nuts. It's completely a texture thing because I love the flavor. BUT (I'm a little excited about this) I found a recipe for pecan pie that doesn't have pecans!!! Crazy, right? I'll try it and let you know!

4.  Typos drive me crazy.  Especially mine!  I hate it when I publish a post (after I've already read it 47 times) and notice that I used "where" instead of "wear".  That just makes me look like an idiot!

Hey, y'all! I'm linking up today with Leslie at A Blonde Ambition blog for Confessional Friday...so let's get confessing!!

1) I have no idea what I am doing half the time. Really! I have no idea about the techie stuff for this blog - I kinda just logged on one day and started it. I guess I will learn as I go and I hope you guys stick with me through the learning process!

2) I'm taking a break from caffeine. Well...not a complete break. I usually drink an Absolute Zero Monster energy drink from breakfast and I cut that out. And my afternoon Diet Coke? Gone. I still have tea or diet coke at meals, but that's it. It's a start, right?

3) I only recently learned how to give myself a manicure. Sasha over at SashaSays gave a step by step tutorial on how to give yourself a professional looking manicure and I was blown away with the results! I am never paying for another manicure again!!!

4) I am a serial project starter, but have trouble finishing. I guess I get bored or distracted or something and never get around to completing the things I start. I cannot begin to tell you how many patterns I have cut out and never sewn...I think it's a sickness!

Anyway - I hope you still love me after all this!
